Vintage Design
It is one of Dimitri Omersa’s coveted seating objects, in this case in the shape of an elephant – a particularly rare shape. Omersa (1927 – 1985) not only made impressive craftsmanship, but above all also attractive, decorative leather animals – which were initially only sold by the British department store Liberty. Later also by the American company Abercrombie & Fitch, until the 1980s. This model was designed in the 1960s and later executed, probably in the 1970s. Omersa has designed and manufactured a selection of different animals – in different sizes. Dimensions approx. Height 44 cm – 17.32 in, Depth approx. 39 cm – 15.35 in, Width 40 cm – 15.75 in. Good condition with wonderful patina.
