Contemporary Design
In 1909, the world’s first seating made of riveted steel strip came onto the market. Because of its durability and functionalist design, the Rowac stool was chosen for all factories and schools, such as the Bauhaus. Now, over 100 years later, this icon of industrialization is being handcrafted true to the original in the Erzgebirge.
It is the identical version that Walter Gropius chose for the Bauhaus. (beech / black glossy)
