Vintage Design
Armoire, bookcase from the 50’s by the french designer André Sornay. Structure in solid mahogany and veneer highlighted by a system of brass nails perfectly aligned around the furniture (see photos). The large sliding door opens on a series of solid wood shelves, the smaller one on sliding and fixed shelves. Very nice side handles in copper on the whole height of the furniture which reminds the copper of the nails. Excellent vintage condition, to note slight traces of time and use on the whole and a restoration on the shelf prior to purchase. Signature of the designer inside the cabinet (photo).
