This is a large 19th Century mahogany Sheraton revival inlaid display cabinet of serpentine form. The shaped inlaid cornice sits above two serpentine-shaped glazed doors, opening to two fixed shelves inside. The sides of the top cabinet are profusely decorated with floral inlay. The serpentine shaped base of the cabinet is very similar to the top with regards to the inlay, inlaid with floral decoration with the inclusion of urns, garlands, shell motif and a figurehead on the central drawer. The centre of the cabinet has a secretaire drawer which pulls out and drops down to reveal a lovely fitted interior with various satinwood drawers and compartments. There is also a red felt writing surface, the secretaire drawer is flanked either side by inlaid cupboards. The piece is supported on square inlaid tapering splayed legs, united by a shaped shelf.
